JML 01 Lamp by Josh Itiola

The inspiration behind the JML 01 Lamp by Josh Itiola came from German lighting designer Ingo Maurer's early work from his Design M brand. The original ML series of lamps were hand-blown crystal glass lamps with custom lamps shades. My rendition of the lamp plays on the silhouette of the lamp's design. Bisecting the circular curved design, and using the center part, to create a slim "(M)antle (L)amp" of sorts that can be placed on a table or fireplace mantle.

Exhibited in “Going to Country” curated by Available Items (Kristin Coleman and Chad Phillips), Tivoli NY during Upstate Art Weekend 2022.
