"upstate: living spaces with space to live" is a collection of unique and creative interiors that will inspire city and country dwellers alike to create their own personal havens. The book features 200 newly commissioned photographs and profiles of 12 interiors on both sides of the Hudson, ranging from tranquil minimalist retreats to exuberant small-town residences. These spaces include a farmhouse belonging to globetrotting food photographers, a lavender Victorian filled with eclectic curios, a cottage with modern furnishings and elegant Georgian bones, and an artist's country house with giant mushroom tables and permanently installed party streamers. These spaces all have a common approach to decoration that focuses on collections, appreciates handmade items, embraces imperfection, and values comfort and character above all.
