Debris is a box of offcuts and oddities that encourages free-form making. Agnostic to age and intention, participants can build, connect, stack, destroy, keep, discard, end, and begin again. No requirements for how. Debris is about discovery, curiosity, and exploration of form and material, designed to be a non-precious resource and archive that can be added to over time. The offcuts are all from Brooklyn furniture woodshops, and the tools and hardware included are all vintage.
Office of Tangible Space is an interdisciplinary design studio specializing in architecture, interiors, furniture, and curation, with projects ranging from the object scale to the urban. Their work is grounded in a human-centric approach that is achieved through warmth and materiality. Regardless of project scale, the intentionality in each detail of our work allows for moments of thoughtful engagement and opportunities for social gathering.
